How does the Jelly Bean keyboard's predictive text compare to swiftkey?

Even if it's worse, I'm sold. The ics voice keyboard is awesome with its match as you go. But SwiftKey doesn't play nice with it. And SwiftKey's voice input is like froyo, where it does nothing until you've said a whole glob of stuff. So if JB has even mediocre predictions, I'd use it for the voice input.

Honestly, the new keyboard/ predictions/ gammer check is rather awful, for me at least. If I ever spell a word wrong, it usually either doesn't correct it, or gives me a completely different word. But I still stick with it over swift key Cuz the keyboard is a lot more natural to me. But my experience probably differs from the other people having good luck with it.

Sometimes when I type in landscape, I get some typing lag. Does anyone know if this is addressed in JB?

There are a lot of custom settings in JB for the keyboard and its prediction capabilities. You'll need to tweak to taste :)

Is it possible to use Swift's keyboard but JB's voice?

Right now, SwiftKey 3 works pretty poorly with the ICS voice keyboard. You can switch to voice keyboard, say some stuff, and it comes up fine. But if you then type more w/ SwiftKey, or try to edit any of the voice-entered stuff, it deletes some or all of the voice-entered content.

If you use the voice button that is part of SwiftKey 3, it records your whole speech, then processes it, then renders the text, a-la Froyo.

I don't see any reason why this would be different with Jelly Bean. Hopefully SwiftKey will update their stuff to work better with it.
