Root You

I love all of you rom developers:)

I for one love you guys too!!! That's why I keep doing it. It's not about the praise or thanks. I do it because in life there are two things I hold true to myself.

1. Build value for people. It doesn't need to be a ROM, there is so many things you can do to bring value to Family, Friends, and Neighbors. It's simply a matter of choosing to do it!

2. Create. Use your gifts to create and build value for others. My personal hero Steve Jobs did just that. While I am not an Apple Fan Boy, I recognize and commend all that he did in his life and the value he brought to the masses with his creations. If I can touch just one person with what I created, and that one thing brings value to their life then I have succeeded.

Enjoy what ever ROM you are using!

Theres no reason to not love the dev's, or this whole community at that lol

we all are here for the same reasons, we all own the same device or devices and as users of those devices we like to have more control and customization and such, which we should be granted from the gate since there our devices, but were typically not

then comes the great forums, countless brains all with the same device and all working different thinking of new fixes, ideas, workarounds and all, while helping eachother out all the time

then comes the cherry on top, the dev's, fistfuls of people who can do everything above, but also have a greater knowledge of the phone at a coding level, able to create awesome custom roms, themes, and even take fixes and workarounds they or other may have found and build them in so they no longer need to be done as a seperate act, and they do this all while they have their own lives, jobs, families, chores whatever and they do it without pay on their free time, nor do they even ask for payment, i love it lol

cause really in the end what is the use of possessing knowledge, if you never let it out, never use it, especially when using it may benifit the many

Definitely agree,

What has made owning the Triumph enjoyable for me anyway has nothing really to do with the device itself but the developers and the community. I don't know maybe its because those of us who cant always run out for the latest and greatest appreciate thing more but I don't see the same type of community around other devices like I do the Triumph. If I had gone over to the Kindle forums and started asking questions like I had here they would have chewed me up and spit me out. This is also why I have not been able to pull the trigger and purchase an EVO despite having a gift card sitting on the dresser put away from my Tax return.

Otherwise my motivation for wanting to learn is very much in line with what G60 has posted above. I remember when I first stumbled upon TG & Isaak's first CM7 and MIUI Roms and thinking wow, these guy's just made 100's of disappointed people completely ecstatic. Probably well into the thousands at this point. Just a nice feeling knowing that you have in some way effected the lives of people who you have never met on the other side of the continent.

Of curse G60 neglected to mention the fast cars and fast women but that's OK.
