Root Desire HD Root failed :(

Hello All ,

Please accept my apology for my English : )

As the subject says I tried to get my Desire HD Rooted but I failed .

I Used the AAHK tool in the middle of the process especially when device is checking the Zip File and it asked me to press Volume + to flash el the new rom (I was on 2.3.5 hence the tool is downgraded me ).

At this point the mobile hanged and the PC and the whole process freeze .

I did some (Fatal) mistakes :
1) I unplugged the device before the process ends.
2) I used the Factory Reset
3) I wiped the device .
4) I tried to use the recovery but nothing happens

All What I get now is the white screen with green HTC logo .

As per some researching and reading my case needs a flash for the RUU as everything has been gone or maybe there is another solution I don't know .

I really need help :(

Thanks

Probably won't help as much but I would do this to see what has happened to your phone :

Can you boot the phone into bootloader?
Take the battery out, and replace it.
Boot with power button and vol diwn
You be taken to a white screen with green android robots on skateboards....

If you do, can you write what appears at the top?

Thanks.

So your phone isn't rooted. I would try and send a PM to el Presidente, durx or Scotty as I'm not too sure about ruu's...

Hey bluemagic27, welcome to AF! :)

Do you know which software version you were coming from? Judging by the radio version, you're currently on 2.36.405.5, has it always been on that?

Thank you very much for your quick response.

I think I came from this one : RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_ARA_2.42.415.1_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_193079_signed

As I already downloaded and am waiting the correct steps to start with the flashing , as you can see i did many mistakes today :D

I seem to be heaving (almost) the same problem as bluemagic27. I followed every instruction on aahk, but somewhere it must have gone wrong. My phone now doesn't go any further than the loading screen (the white screen and the green logo). In Bootloader it says this:

Can anyone help me fix this, i am really clueless after spending a couple of hours searching the internet for a solution and sadly not finding an answer what so ever. And since i have no knowledge of ruu's or androidphones i could sure use the help :)

i have same problem and same version wrote on loading screen, could anyone help this out? or maybe just the same way with bluemagic27??

have you tried a factory reset in hboot?

if that does not work,we will need to run a few adb commands to find out your CID and main version,as there are a couple ruus that contain your baseband,so was cannot use that info alone to find a proper ruu to get you back to a working phone.

if you are up for that,i can give you a link and some instructions, and then with that info we can find an ruu to get your phone working.

already work right now, by reinstall using RUU
after googling i found this useful link, at least for me
S-ON Bootloop, RUU flash help - HTC Desire HD

read and follow to the link given

hope this will give solution :)

running an ruu will give soultion, but it will not neccessarily be that one for everybody in this situation.

if you originally also had build 1.32.xxx.xx like that post, then that may work. otherwise, you may get a "main version higher" or "incorrect CID" error.

if your phone is working now, glad to hear it :)
