Root [Question] Temp root for Marquee?

I'm reading up on how to root my friends LG Marquee with SW version LG855ZV4 . I've found the step by step guide on how to down grade and root so I'm just trying to find out if there is a way to temp root so that I can backup everything first? I've searched but haven't come up with anything so I'm asking here.
TIA for any replies.

No such thing as temporary root. Either you are or you aren't. However, there are ways to backup your data. Google is your friend....

EDIT:Never mind, I did it for you.:p:D

How to Back Up Your Android Device Without Rooting | Android.AppStorm

Thanks. I didn't think mybackup backed up data without root. Oh and there is ways of having temp root. I've done it before to backup other androids that I've rooted. Temp root would allow you to be rooted until you reboot the phone but you could make backups or do just about anything a rooted phone could do. Here is a link you could check out on temp rooting .

Thanks again for your reply.

Edit: I just went through the app again and I was right. App data can't be backed up without root.

Yeah, there are temp jailbreak/root methods for iPod/iPhone as well as Android devices, just haven't seen anything for the Marquee around at all.

You can download ota root keeper from the play store it will back up your root as well as let you temp-unroot. It is a very useful app:cool:

Thanks for the article. Like I mentioned above and I apologize for not being a little more specific to the device. I don't think that there's any such thing as temp. root for the Marquee. Either you are or you aren't.

As for backing up app data, have you looked in to using adb?
As of right now, I think that would be your best shot and I'm not even positive that it'll work.

Look at the bright side, atleast the contact info can be saved. Also, if there are any notes or anything like that needing to be saved, transfer them to Evernote.;)

Thanks for all your replies. I'm not to worried about it and my friend is OK with losing any app data. I got everything else backed up that is important so she's OK with that. I'm going to root it later today so I'm sure I'll be around here posting some more questions. Thanks again for the help.
