Root Spc

I'm having a lot of problems trying to root my phone. First off, at one point the guide tells me to enter my SPC code twice. What is and where do I find that code?

Are you in the getting msl thread.. if so just enter 000000 twice and it will cause a reboot and you can continue steps

I give up on rooting it. I've wasted hours lol I do everything step by step and still get the bin file with Fs and 0s.

It took me 4 or 5 times before I got a good download to get mine. Patience is a virtue I guess!! lol

I was never able to pull my msl on my old Elite. The new one I just got from warranty exchange worked the first time

The easiest way to get your MSL is to call Virgin and tell them you got that error 67 like LeslieAnn said in another post. They will walk you through about a 25 minute process and a tech will eventually give you the MSL. Lot easier than the steps provided in my opinion.

For new people following this thread....

What is frustrating the most is the original instructions aren't even edited to say when to plug your phone in, I feel your pain, I had to guess.

When you first are asked to enter your SPC/MSL....well, how are you supposed to enter it when that is the code we're trying to find out here!!

Follow the instructions by the guy a few pages back...who clearly and helpfully says to enter 000000 and 000000 when asked for your SPC. And then IMMEDIATELY hold down the volume buttons....that guy is awesome, because my first two attempts following just the original instructions led to nothing, but trying that guys recommendations worked the first time. I think the original poster is too stubborn to edit his instructions and people are wasting their time.

If.. AND ONLY IF you mean jcase, it's just cause he doesn't own the phone so he doesn't know the exact process

I don't think he wrote the process with non-devs in mind. I had the impression it was done quickly to someone he expected to know what to do with it.

Some devs don't realize just how much hand holding is needed for some people, and we certainly don't bother when talking to other devs.

I agree :).
100% I was just saying that jcase has done a great job it's just he could do exact details because he doesn't have the phone in hand, we did the testing with general idea/instructions.
and jcase did amazing with what he had
