***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

We all want an announcement, but bashing anything and everything because we haven't heard yet...I mean, really? The CTIA is the 23rd-25th with major news usually coming on the 1st two days. If the phone is as advertised so far...it's worth the wait. Even if we hear news, it's not like you can run out to the VZW store and get one. Info on the phone has trickled in and the release date is no different. Thanks to all those that have contributed, NKT, Anon, etc.
 
Hey all, coming out of lurking mode here after following since page 20 or so, just wanted to give a possible outcome for the purported and expected "big announcement" at CTIA.

I realize today is the big day and it seems like every company is making announcements and revealing new products and such, but what if there is a different strategy here? What if Verizon or HTC or whoever else has their greasy fingers in this pot is waiting for a later day when everything has calmed down? It would give the Incredible a chance to steal more of the show, yeah? I mean, even tomorrow? Mind you we have "The Box" showing up all over the country with Tuesday plans written all over them, and I know nothing about these exhibit shows. However, what are the chances?

Aaaaaand, go.

Hey guys, been lurking here for quite a while and have been waiting for a new phone ever since I got my Storm. I was about to pay $500+ to get the Droid when it came out but then I heard about the Nexus One so I started waiting for that, and now the Incredible is about to be released. I will at least get a 1 year discount so I guess after all this waiting, you have to look on the bright side of things.

Here is too hopefully a start of a good week and hopefully not much more waiting.

I would think that most people make their biggest announcements on the first day because not all that attend the conference hang out for the whole week, my guess is you get your best coverage on the first day or two.
 
Now, ...does anyone KNOW how MANY secret HTC boxes there are? If there were two, that would make feel better. I would think Incredible and SS.
 
When you take a step back, HTC really does have a pocket full of kryptonite, don't they? HD2 for T-mob, Supersonic for Sprint, and the Incredible for Verizon. All positioned in competition with the mighty iPhone on AT&T. Rolling all of these out on one day is a pretty big coup.

Where are people getting this 530 thing from? I may have missed it. I know some random blog has a meeting with HTC this afternoon...is that when people think it will be revealed? If so, i highly doubt HTS would reveal incrdible to one random website

From what I gathered, a box from HTC arived at Mountain Man's Verizon store with instructions not to be opened until further notice. We do not know what the content of this box is, but we can only hope/pray it's the Incredible.

From HTCPedia's use of plurals, it definitely sounds like there's at least two:

"In addition, the wall has couple of window displays with a white piece of paper stating "No Peeking! come back soon". We can assume these cover new HTC devices that will be released at the show later on today."
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't there a date going around earlier of March 24th?

Maybe it will be announced then?

Oh... I just finish teaching for the day. The last post I read was somewhere around 236 or so. Should I bother reading the rest? Or can I just pick up here?
