Root Is it safe update Superuser on the Prevail?

A few weeks ago SU released an update on the Play Store. Ive read that some devices, not all, are having problems with SU dependent apps not working after this update. So has anybody updated SU and is it ok?

Make a backup, give it a go, and let us know? If it borks anything, just restore :D

After installing CTMod 3.68, I open up Superuser and click the update, which updates the latest binary I think. Then I go and install Superuser Elite, then I go to the play store and update it and it works, but then if I open the app and tap to check for updates, it shows I have 3.0.3.2 installed, and asks me to update to the latest version of 3.1.1.

All goes ok until at the end it states: "Making sure new su works ...... fail!"
And that is with and without the SU Update Fixer app.

?

Here's what mine says. Never downloaded Superuser Elite or any update helper either. Just updated the app itself first and then the binary.

Had that happen to me once but can't recall exactly what I did. Or which ROM I was running

EDIT: I just reflashed CT 3.68, updated Superuser app via Play Store and then updated binary using in-app update option with no problems. So not sure what threw a wrench in the works for you, x432hz, but maybe try holding off on updating binary until after updating the app?

Also install link2sd and "integrate app into system" option. Titanium can't see superuser or supersu and this will integrate both. Just choose cancel when it ask you to select boot script. Easy way to wipe data and uninstall superuser as well if switching to supersu. There probly another app u can use this just way I do. Uninstall link2sd when done

Or an easier way would be to just download the Superuser CWM package and flash that instead.

You want ARM obviously and you can use just the bin package if that's what's giving you problems.
