Has HTC said officially what their "embargoed device" was??? :confused:

I'm gonna end up being the poster boy for everything that's wrong with Verizon if they don't announce this thing! :(

This really just makes me angry. I'm tired of waiting. I'm tired of refreshing. I'll stick to my beat-up Moto RIZR. I've been out of contract since August, and I am sick of being lied to about phones that are coming out "soon" —*or reps who are clueless about Android even is or who HTC is. This doesn't make me more excited about the phone (now especially that I can lust after the EVO). It just pisses me off and makes me not want the damn thing at all. So frustrated.

A) They had bad information provided to them.

B) They were being malicious

I would think A is more likely. The people that provided the info here on the forums seem to be honest.

Anon basically said from what he's heard he thinks verizon was waiting to see the reaction the SS (Evo) and if it was big they were going to wait until tomorrow.

It makes sense, they don't want to release their phone and still have the top line on every tech website be about the evo today.

Seriously, people are coming here for official news on the Incredible, no point wasting time and bandwidth when there is a space for the Nexus One for everyone to fight about how it is sold.

BOT: There is still a hidden box at the HTC booth, and while I doubt the interview with HTCpedia is going to reveal to us the Incredible, I think we are going to hear something tomorrow, rather than today.
 
I'm not there nor do i know anyone there, but my guess is that they just allowed us to open one present before christmas.


Eh, EVO 4G...cool, but not what i'm hoping that OTHER box under the tree holds :D

It's 3:00 there now so i doubt they'll be releasing anything at the buzzer.

Go get something to eat everyone and get some rest tonight... tomorrow will be the day...
 
I'm all for getting the MODS involved if we don't troll-type talk and non incredible chats that don't stop. Please consider this a warning.
 
Still waiting in antagonizing anticipation for the Incredible...but I can't believe I just delayed my 45 mins - 1 hour commute for what essentially amounts to nothing. Many thanks to all the "inside sources" for continuing the good fight & hopefully we'll hear something sooner than later.
 
So what are the chances that VZW was actually waiting to see how much press the Evo 4G got and are going to release it tomorrow?

Fair enough, but if that's true what did they (Verizon) expect people to think of the Supersonic reveal? That it would be complete shit? We knew the rumored specs of that phone were amazing, so if Verizon were really waiting to announce a day after the SS is announced, then why were there any rumors of them showing something today?

Doesn't make sense unless Verizon seems to know less than their own users on the internet (which at this point I wouldn't be surprised if that were true).

..now if I don't hear anything about the Incredible at the end of the day, you better watch your back:eek::p;)
