I was poking around in the forums of flat earth society, reading some posts and comments. All I can say is...wow. But hey, they believe what they believe. I can respect it. I have some pretty outlandish thoughts. But hey, it's what I believe.
 
Morning everyone!
Finally broke down and bought a day's worth of internet ($12, not bad and the connection is fast).
Trip is going awesome! The resort is beautiful, weather has been just about the same everyday (upper 80s, sunny, low is probably 80). The pools are great as we've mainly been sticking to them :cough: swim up bar :cough:. ;)
Our suite has a beautiful view of the beach and LOUD birds everywhere. Also have seen a lot of fun wildlife on the resort. Lots of geckos and iguanas. I took some pics of them yesterday. There's also a little area where they have some flamingoes and a couple swans. The flamingoes are just so strange and fascinating to watch. :)
The city of Mazatlan was interesting. We went to a couple restaurants. Everyone here is so friendly and so impressed with my Spanish skills (which I didn't think were all that great anyway). I've been eating so much avocadoes and beans I think I'm going to explode! :o Can't believe how cheap everything is here, but I guess that's just how it is. The guests at the resort are mostly Mexican families as it's their vacation time. It's the slow time of year so it's not all that full. Drinks are delicious and plentiful and being on the all-inclusive side is a nice touch. ;)
If the sun comes out later today I'll take a pic with my Prime and get it uploaded to make all you guys jealous. :D
 
Hi dread, good to here your having a good time. Yeah, that swim up bar is nice. You just have to watch for that guy that gets there at 10AM and never leaves. I'm sure I'm like most folks and need to hit the little boys room once in a while.:rolleyes:

Yeah it kinda blows that it doesn't open until 11am. ;)
Ah well. With this kind of heat and humidity it's hard to drink THAT much (and you definitely need tons of water to follow it).
Oh, I forgot we had Mexican night at the buffet. Food was AMAZING! and they had an 8 piece mariachi band. They were just fantastic (a whole lot better than the one we had for our rehearsal dinner, but hey, it IS Mexico ;))

Does any one here have the latest Flash Player 11 that they can share with me. I can't get it on Jelly Bean and the version I am using is not up to date.

First thing they told us when we got to the resort is all the water is filtered and fine to drink. Have drank plenty of it since and besides lots of gas from the beans, we're doing just fine. :)

I d/l'd it to my Xoom. If you tell me how to find it with Astro, I'll send it to you. Or maybe I'm too OTL to know how it's done.:confused:
 
Okay, I need your help, folks.

I'm having a devil of a time with an app called Reduce Photo Size. I'm using it to reduce the size of screenshots so that AF will actually post them. I reduce it to WVGA or VGA, save as. and it goes into the "Pictures" folder. I can verify that with Astro... it's there.

BUT:

I hook up Ginny to my Vista laptop, and every pic is in that folder EXCEPT the one I just saved! I hook Ginny up to my Win7 PC and same thing... no pic!

:confused:

Can anyone here please explain this infuriating phenomenon to me and - ore importantly - tell me how to get my computer to see the image so I can copy it over and upload it here?

Dumb question- you check "show hidden files" in Explorer?

I shouldn't have to: it's a .jpg file And every other picture with that extension shows up.
