[International / GSM] Unrooted and back to stock, still not updating to jb

I received a jelly bean ota update notification on my gnex recently, but it failed to update itself.

I've read few posts in the forum indicated that the phone has to be stock and unrooted to successfully ota update to jb 4.1.1

I used wugs galaxy nexus kit to flash my gnex back to stock and unrooted. (See above screenshot) . However, I still hasn't receive any update notification yet. I tried reboot the phone, turn it on and off. Tried to change the date and time forward, and I am connected to wifi.

One thing I found it strange is when wig kit flash my phone back to stock, it also flashed the radio. I'm from Canada, and I got my phone from Fido, it was originally running on stock 4.0.2 ics, yakjuux, but now its at stock yakju 4.0.4. I received a notification after the flashing says I am on roaming right now with internet data, and I'm cannot use my network data at all. (Phone call and text message are working ) I wonder whether or not if I screwed up the radio image.

Another thing i noticed is that my phone network right now its on GSM

That's probably part of the reason why I'm not getting the jelly bean update and why my network data is screwed up.

Please help here, its a rare situation and I don't know what to do.

This does not look like the stock ROM to me; the stock UI looks nothiong like this (e.g. tabs at the top of the screen). You must be running some custom ROM. To get the OTA you need to be stock and stock recovery. You can get those from here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images. Once downloaded rename the *.tar extension to *.tgz and then unzip to a directory of your choice. You need to use adb and push the imeage files (first the bootloader, followed by the radio image and completed by the *.zip file. For detailed instructions go to this page http://androidtobe.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/galaxy-nexus-installing-ics-404-from.html and simply replace the references to ICS 4.0.2 to 4.0.4 - the process is identical. When finished with the last fastboot command to reboot-bootloader you can either oem lock your device or keep it unlocked for rooting. You can also get yourself a custom recovery and easily flash this through adb. Using ScaryAliens Root Tooolkit from the PlayStore you can also make the custom recovery stick are flasch back to stock recovery if another OTA is announced.

Once you got a clean install of ICS 4.0. you're like to be greated with a update notification (happened to me after about 5 minutes of the initial setup of 4.0.4

The screenshots the OP is showing... that's an app (probably from the Play store). You can easily tell because of the advertisements. ;)

Is there any reason to unroot to get the update unless you just want stock 4.1.1? My last update was 4.0.4 I then rooted and have been flashing Jelly Bean ROMS, so why would I need the update? I got a message to update but I guess since Im rooted mine didnt work either for 4.1.1 but it doesnt bother if I am able to flash Jelly Bean ROMS anyhow. OP what app is that that display all your device info? Sorry for the quick hi jack.

Faults alert!!!

A couple mins ago, an jelly bean update notification popped up, and I've successfully updated to jelly bean 4.1.1.

Now the radio band seemed to be fixed by itself as well, and I have no problem with the network data what so ever.

Anyways, thanks for the help, and I hope this post will help out the others that encounter the same problem.
