Viewing Data Usage

Is there a way to view the data used to date other than the option in the "usage" in settings? It comes with a disclaimer saying it is judging by the phone, and not by the network. I tried going to VM website, but all it tells me is what plan I have when I click on data usage.

Virgin Mobiles website will also show you details about your plan, including calls, texts and data usage.

I hope my VM data tracking stays like this forever. Lol.

Prior to upgrading to the Evo V, it showed my data use. I had the Venture and then the Optimus Elite, both registered data use properly on the Virgin Mobile website. Ever since I upgraded to my Evo V, it just says Unlimited and no data useage appears. Also the built in Usage app only registers 3G data, not 4G. I wonder if 4G is uncapped?

Looks like it doesn't show you from the mobile site. Check out the desktop site and it'll show your usage.

From the mobile site and took a pic of the desktop site. This is the 2nd month in a row now.

Yes 4g is uncapped

San Jose, CA: My Triumph use to show the details of what I have used but now it just shows unlimited and no details. I have the phone about a week and it has been using 4G mostly.

I saw a thread where this was discussed recently, but I can't find it. They are having some sort of issue tracking your data right now, so it's not visible on the VM website. Here is another thread where the tracking issue is mentioned, scroll about halfway through the thread.

I believe that vm has a hard time tracking number 4G data because it's not actually sprint towers that are being used but another company that has a contract with sprint. As of right now I have gone way over the 2.5gb data cap and not received the sms telling me so. I think I'm more at 5gb of data used and speed is still as slow as it usually is lol

its like a never ending chain of someone using someone elses tower :smokingsomb:

A cs rep told me that 4g is unlimited with this phone and your 3g will be throttled to 256 kb/s after any combination of 3g and 4g that exceeds 2.5 GB or 3.5 GB if you have the tethering option. And while it's true that ClearWire provides the Wimax service to Sprint a lot of the antennas are co-located on Sprint's towers. And I personally use the app 3g watchdog pro for keeping track of my data usage.
