Help Photo MMS received as video

Just long press and hit "view flat slideshow."

Anyway, I wanted to say that I switched back to Handcent from GoSMS because, for whatever reason with Go, the vibrate would be so light that I couldn't feel it unless I was laying still and the phone was touching me..like laying on my stomach. But all other notifications were the normal, strong vibrate. I switched to Handcent, and no longer have this issue. I sure wish GoSMS had worked properly because I like it soo much more.

ICS fixes all of this anyway.

What ICS? I haven't seen any ICS and all I hear are a bunch of rumors of it. Then they announce the III. Same thing they did with the Captivate. After they announced the II, they dropped almost all support. Captivate owners were told they were going to get Gingerbread. Never happened, until 1/12, almost 2 years after the release of the phone and most people had already tired of waiting and upgraded (though mine was/is running Serendipity) to a different phone. II owners are being told we'll get ICS. I'll believe it, when I see it.

They're even doing the same crap with the International release. Everyone else gets it, except the U.S.

I love my II, but one thing you have to accept with Samsung. Good product, @#$%!& support.

Actually my International GS II got ICS a while ago. More of the blame is on carriers at this point.

Some of my AT&T employee friends are already testing ICS on their branded GS II's, so it's coming soon.

I appreciate a little bit of insider info :D, but you would think both sides, having this much experience with each other... would have this a little better streamlined by now. Samsung knows what lame@#$ crap AT&T is going to demand... get it done. They're just as much at fault as the carriers.

I hope you're right and we see the upgrade soon. I really would like to see more of the phone's potential released and I'm just not that impressed by the lack of developer support on mods. The Captivate was choice after choice... the II? Pretty impotent in ROM support.

Went ahead and switched back over to Go SMS Pro. Used it on my Captivate and loved it. I'm pretty impressed with the changes they've made and its evolving.

With very good Quick Reply and Emoji support, GoSMS Pro is hard to beat. I never use the default messaging app anyway. But, like I said, at least ICS will fix the photo MMS issue(s).

I was having the same problem and go SMS solved my photo problem. However it doesnt solve my video problem. Videos do not load on the phone. I get the sound but no picture. Any ideas on this?

I hate that I have to download a program to solve things like this.

ICS does NOT solve the issue, nor does Jelly bean. I'm on a samsung galaxy nexus hspa+. It's super freaking annoying and unacceptable. It's not just apple that behaves correctly, no problems with windows phone either. GO SMS is just more crap running down my battery and is pretty bloated these days,..albiet it fixes the issue. Love everything else about my nexus. Hate to give up the phone for this, but I use this feature all the time.

My AT&T branded GS2, with ICS, does not not show single picture attachments as slide shows. It shows them like they should.

If you run GoSMS in Normal mode, it has no more bloat than the built in messaging app -- which can be disabled with Titanium backup.

Just got a Galaxy S3. First Android besides a Captivate that I returned. I am trying to like this phone over an iphone. Mine also shows single pics as slideshows. Also if I want to save a pic from a text message how can I get it to save to gallery instead of a folder on the SD card?

Android doesn't work like iOS. Every program will make it's own folder for downloads/pictures, etc... So to answer your question -- you can't make it save to the gallery exactly.

Use GoSMSPro instead of the stock SMS app. It's much better and gives you more control over the look and feel.
