Help Any replacement app for Volume+?

Nexus808

Newbie
I gotta admit it didn't bother me so much at first since JB is such a great update but it's been about a week now and the speaker volume is just abysmal. Volume+ just got an update today but it's still a no go on JB. Anyone have a substitute app that will increase the speaker volume on stock JB?

volume+ was still working for me after i updated to jellybean on a stock phone.i was using the one from the audiohacks website though.i dont know if that is the same one as the update today. just checked its not the same version i was using.i was using version v1.9.0.1.i was only using it for speaker and headphones and they both worked great for me.oh and thanks for letting us know there is a new version out.im hoping it works on my evo since the other one dont.

What rom are you running? I hear bugless beast boosts volume levels.

I'm running AOKP, and the volume is phenomenal now. I could hear the alarm going off loud and clear in my office upstairs when I walked in the house from downstairs in the kitchen. I would of never heard it with the stock rom.

So there isn't any way to increase it without rooting? I really would prefer to avoid that. I guess I'll wait and see if volume+ has an update.

I'm a new Gnex user, but from what I can tell this low volume issue has been ongoing since day one. If an alternate ROM or an app can fix the problem so easily (I don't know that it was easy, but it's obviously not impossible), then the question that immediately comes to mind is: why hasn't Google fixed it in the stock ROM? Do they not consider it a problem?

My wife's phone is experiencing this as well (my thread on it got moved to the All Things Root forum because I mentioned it was using a specific ROM), and if anyone has any answers besides Volume+, I'd appreciate it.

She told me she's considering having me go back to stock ICS and then stock OTA JB when it's available for Verizon phones ... will that continue the low volume issue?

Thanks for the info, glad to see that v1.9.0.1 is still working for you on stock JB. I downloaded it from the site and installed it but didn't seem to make a difference for me.

I'm running stock JB unrooted and was hoping to find a replacement that worked on stock JB. I guess if the dev for Volume+ can't get it going soon I'm gonna have to root and flash a rom that boost the speaker volume.
