Root [Verizon] [Support] Rearrange the Notification Bar Ribbon Icons?

I am wondering if there is any way (or app) to rearrange the dropdown Notification Bar icons (Airplane Mode, Screen Rotation, etc.) on the S3. It seems like the ones I want are always not the ones centered on the screen when I pull them down.

head on over to the xda forums here and the OP of that thread Mad Industries might be able to help you out...

he has them rearranged (to his liking) and added a wifi toggle...im using his mod right now (with ICS blue color swap) and its great

im not sure if he is taking customized requests anymore...but there might be one over there that is to your liking

no problem...hope it gets you what youre looking for...personally just adding the Wifi toggle ad changing the color scheme to ICS blue made me like the phone a whole lot more lol
 
I'd be willing to create a custom one or two if wanted. I already have one in ICS blue with WiFi, GPS, mobile data, sound, and BT.
 
I am using the one they named Shaweet, as it is the closest to what I would really like, which would be to have these 5 as the first buttons (so sideways scrolling for me is rarely needed):

Wifi, GPS, Airplane Mode, Screen Rotation, Sound.

The rest of the default buttons could still be there in any order tacked on after those 5. I'm not particular about the color either ( I read making the blue ones is a lot of work).

would it be possible to make the mod for NoSympathy's completely stock/deodexed ROM over on XDA?

ive been thinking about flashing it but don't want to lose the current mods...i have the normal ICS Blue with just the WiFi toggle added from the thread..

Make a nandroid backup, flash it, and test it out! The non-beans ones should work. I know they did with insotek's stock or whatever his alias is haha..

I may be looking into where to change the images/colors, but rearranging or removing the buttons is easy. I'd just need the SystemUI from the ROM.

would it work even though NoSympathy's file is deodexed, and the original (non-beans) mod works with the odexed ROM??
 
Oops, before I meant the Beans versions should work. Others have reported them to be fine with nosympathy's.
 
just load synergy 1.6, and you will have adjustable toggles and also removes all the annoying pop ups
 
Since we are on the topic of icons here, I do have a question. On the very top row where your time is, what is the icon on the very far left? If you look at the picture above in post #2, you will see what I am talking about. It looks like a diamond with a cross in the middle and waves to the right. I have looked at some screen shots where this is shown (like above) and other screen shots where it is not.

That's a GPS active icon. The user manual shows all these and tells what each one means. :)
 
It's the E911 GPS locator.

Synergy1.6 does clean up the notification bar and replaces the limited (and huge) toggles with configurable ones.
