Did anyone in the UK wake up with a confirmation email?

I've heard a lot of complaints about Google "locking down" all pre-orders saying they aren't able to be cancelled. That you have to send it back after they have charged and shipped it to you. Or refuse the delivery (I'm not even sure if you can do that in the UK) and it will eventually be refunded.

I ordered on the 27th, but afterwards I noticed my address was slightly wrong and so about 20 minutes after ordering I sent an email via google wallet asking them to change it.

Jump forward 12 days to the 9th and I gave up waiting for a response... I called them and they told me not only could they not alter the delivery address, they couldn't cancel it either. Which is funny, because other people's orders from that day didn't ship for more than a week after that. Anyway, the guy said he would escalate it and have someone 'intercept' the package. I got the confirmation of cancelation email about 2-3 hours later.

That's why I wouldn't advise anyone to email them.
 
Received my shipping notification at 5pm UK time. Order also updates as shipped on Google Wallet. Ordered a 16GB on 2nd July.

However, the TNT consignment number given points to a package that was delivered somewhere on the 10th of April!:confused:

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

My "carbon fibre" white G-Hub case arrived today, just to mock me.....
 
16gb ordered on 10 July, just now received a dispatch confirmation email...

though it's very strange on the tracking page...

destination Swindon on 13 July
destination Barnet on 16 July

i live nowhere near those places...

Tracking numbers are often reused. Sure you'll be fine, and it'll be updated soon!
 
Just got my shipping email for my order on the 9th :)

My tracking number doesn't show up any info yet, however.
 
YES! Shipping email recieved, tracking number says it's 'in transit' for delivery today.

Looks like Google Play, Computer 2000 and TNT did some logistics planning over the weekend. I think They've pulled it off.

Looks like, mines saying out for delivery now:smokingsomb: though i going to miss it i think have a bit of running around today,:(

Not leaving a not, dont want the neighbours to know i have a rare nexus 7 coming
 
I got my email this morning, I've since checked the tracking info and its out for delivery already (8.20am UK) GREAT...

... Yeah great, except I bought one from Curry's last week. Haha I'm going to enjoy refusing delivery...
 
Ordered 4th July. Changed delivery address 2 minutes later. Did repeat request to change shortly later. Spoke to them on 21st to cancel order and also confirmed address.

Got email confirmation this morning that it's been dispatched, despite cancellation, to wrong address.

Google - stick to what you are good at!!! Why don't the creators of GMAIL read their email?

For those of you that weren't able to get your hands on one from anothere source, I hope it was worth the wait.
 
Reliably informed by my wife that it arrived at 7:38am today with a text "Your object of desire has arrived"! (from my wife, not from TNT)
 
Ordered on the 9th, got the email last night and it arrived at 10am today. They delivered to a neighbour and didn't leave a note, apparently.. Had to figure it out from the surname given with the signature.

I won't be able to play with it until much later though, I'm going to see Batman.

mine arrived. It's superb. Thankfully none of the reported problems. And in the end, it really was within the 2-4 weeks as quoted by Google.

Thanks for all the support. It's been emotional.
