Root How to restore Wildfire S

hsm1

Lurker
Hi there,

This may be a repost but I'm not sure on what to do and other threads have confused me.

I rooted my wildfire s and after a while of playing with it I installed the wrong ROM and it's useless really, camera won't work, no reception etc.

No biggie, I made a recovery of the stock ROM but I'm not too sure on how to recover it.

I have a folder called 'Backup' within that there's another folder that's named after date and time and with that there's 7 files.

They are:

.android_secure.vfat (WinRar file)
boot (Disc Image File)
cache.yaffs2 (Disc Image File)
data.yaffs2 (Disc Image File)
nandroid.md5 (md5 file)
recovery (Disc Image File)
system.yaffs2 (Disc Image File)

What file/files do I use and how do I go about it?

Any help would be great thanks.

Dear you have flashed someone else ROM backup made by CWM recovery, now the only way is you have to flash custom ROM. You can try Thing ROM that is really good rom.

Go into recovery - choose 'backup and restore' - select 'restore' - you will see the file with the date of the backup, select it.

The phone will then go ahead and restore the phone to the stock ROM. If all goes well and it finishes you will be asked to reboot. It's quite painless :)

Hi,

Here is the thing: Recovery mode during recovery says: no files found, what might be a reason?

Thanks,
