Root CM9

I tried installing Hash's latest build (7/25) of CM9 but get stuck in a boot animation loop. Has anyone been able to get CM9 installed, either this build or any other?

I have a similar problem with Liberty 2.0. :(

No,but I haven't tried yet. Waiting a bit longer.

Hashcode himself tweeted around 2AM EDT last night:

"D3 Users: KEXEC update - we worked on it quite a bit today. Display is up again and we loaded the new ducati. Working on a system crash."

So, if you were trying the version he is referring to there, maybe that is the problem.

How about any ROM other than Steeldroid 4.5 that will actually work? I've tried flashing Liberty and Maverick but all I get are animation loops. It seems Steeldroid is the only one that will actually work on my phone.

Very frustrating.

Just to ask the question, are you wiping data/factory reset after flashing the roms? Liberty and Mav run fine on my d3.

Yep. Factory reset and formatting /cache.

I tried again and managed to get Maverick installed. Playing around with that now.

Edit: So I must've been doing something wrong.. I managed to get Hash's CM9 installed but Play from gapps 4.1.1 keeps giving a Server Error.

It's not the market - my wife has a stock D3 unrooted and her market works.

So close to having a working ICS installation. :(

Are you using the correct GApps? 4.1.1 is the latest build of Android Jelly Bean, and ICS is 4.0.#. That may be what's not working with the Play Store.

To the above, you must be doing something wrong. I've flashed and run those ROMs you've named flawlessly. Wipe data, format system (not entirely necessary), flash ROM, reboot, wipe data again and battery pull if it won't boot.
