Firmware update rolling out now

I don't think I saw this mentioned here. Updates at least the camera and touch panel. Check your updates in settings ABOUT menu.

I tried but nothing for me. What's the new firmware revision number? I'm at 4.0.3

Apparently this is a new build version for the same 4.0.3 firmware after checking the Asus site. V9.4.5.26 (amended)

I'm at V9.4.5.21 but it still didn't do the update.

I received the update several (4 or 5) days ago; seemed to have reduced the lag a bit; haven't noticed anyting negative.

Pretty easy to manually update via SD card. I updated to .26 last night. Just make sure your card is formatted as FAT32. My exFAT card failed. I've had fewer hangs and ANRs after updating.

I could not figure out which one to download. The directions referenced a sku number but none of them matched my build. Those of you with USbuilds, which file did you apply?

I figured out which one to download but the zip file doesn't open. I downloaded to local storage. I have do I need to download to fat32 device?

You can download the file to any device, but your SD card must be formatted Fat32.
You need Winzip, or some other unzipping software.
Download the file from Asus.
Unzip the file - which, oddly, creates another zip file.
Move this zip file to the root (not in a folder) of your SD card.
Put the SD card in the TF700, once it attaches to the card you'll see an exclamation point symbol in the notifications. Click and that, sit back and watch the upgrade.

I down loaded winzip and I cannot figure out how to extract the file. Does winzip for Android not have an extract option like it does on other platforms?

I'm not familiar with Winzip for Android, so I can't say for sure.
I download the file to my PC, unzip it there, and them move the resulting file to the SD card (using a card reader in my PC).

Extracting elsewhere might be the way to go. I got the files extracted. I have now how do I install?

I am feeling pretty stupid here in that I cannot update a simple firmware on a hand held device. The pictures I have been a dba on linux/Unix for 13 years and this is a challenge to me?

Not a problem, we all had to learn this once.
You've extracted a zip file from the zip file you downloaded.
Move (or copy) the extracted zip file to the root of the SD card.
Put the SD card in your device and turn it on (or wake it up, you don't have to have the TF off for this, just asleep).
As soon as the TF accesses the SD card it will see the update file and notify you that an update is ready. You just tell it to go ahead an update. It takes 10 minutes or so.
