Of course they feel differently... but there is no getting around the fact that from a customer perspective, being able to make skype calls over wifi is better than not being able to make calls over wifi. Less capability is almost always worse than more capability, no?In your opinion. They obviously felt differently and it's their network.
And again, you don't pay extra for using Skype via 3G. So that throws the money argument out the window...
Since VZW's network type is unique to the US, our phones are useless anywhere else it the world. Skype over wifi was a potential workaround when traveling out of the country (although not an ideal solution, it would be something). Calling over wifi is a significant feature to many people, even if it is not to others. It seems like people are defending VZW's decision which is fine I guess, but we have to agree that the removal of this feature has to be linked to VZW's bottom line (i.e. not quality of call issues over wifi).
