I can see it now. Montana walks into the store looking at phones he whips out his current phone to compare it to what ever phone is closes to the HTC rep. He hits the video button on his phone to catch the juicy details on his phone. The rep looks over and goes what are you doing sir you can't do that here. Then the HTC rep instructs Montana's friend to boot him out of the store. Feeling dejected Montana whips out his ak47 and says HTC got noting on me.....

WOW! Tensions are high. I feel like there is more arguing and stupid posting than good content, but that's nothing new, is it?

I do not appreciate having to read through 20 pages of arguing. I'm fine with reading 20 pages of good content with info and appropriate user commentary, but not arguing and plain stupid posting that just gets people upset.

Gotcha...I have to imagine the future goal here is every phone is going to convert to VoIP and your cell company is going to basically be a wireless network provider. 100% data

Correct. That's the end goal. It's getting there. Right now they have the core network converted to IP and are working on getting the edge on IP. A good portion of VZW-VZW mobile calls are IP from base station to base station.

For the haters

In reference to your first post, tho Sprint is a CDMA service they do not just jump to Verizon towers and receive equal service. I live in a large area, Northern Rockies, where Verizon has great service but Sprint has marginal service. If it were as easy as piggybacking on the Verizon network Sprint would sell service here, which they do not.
As someone living in the same exact area I will second this. My brother lives in Phoenix and has Sprint, whenever he comes to visit he struggles with service in a lot of areas where I have no problems on Verizon. It's definitely not one and the same across this area (MT, WY, and much of ID, ND, SD).

You can't open the box, that's impossible. You must enter the Matrix to discover that we are all in fact, thinking inside the box.
