Not everyone always has access to a computer, I s-offed because I'm never near a computer and im used to just flashing the one file for the ROM just like on my intercept or triumph

I have the 4ext recovery and can flash custom ROMs with ease. If you have the 4ext rocovery, is s-off necessary?

To be able to make other mods like downgrade hboot to install aosp and aokp roms, the new sms fix etc. yes you would need to be s off.

I used a paperclip with electrical tape.

For the record 4-EXT does not work with CM9 ROMs, like Devil Toast and Paranoid Android. I say this because even though I'm hesitant to get S-Off, I really REALLY want to flash those ROMs, or really stock ICS for that matter.
