Help Alarm/notification files

Where do you find stock notification/alarm sounds on the phone? I want to copy the ones I have on my verizon galaxy and move them to my gsm version (for some reason the tone choices are quite different) but when I downloaded astro and went to open notification and alarm files, they were empty! Am I looking in the wrong place/files???

Hmmm, I'm not sure of a way to do this without root. I know you can with Root Explorer.
Strange that they're different though. Are there any in particular you're looking for?
 
They are in /system/media/audio. you will need root to access them. You could download a stock ROM or something close to stock, open it with Win-zip and just pull them out of the same location. Then place them on your SD card.
