Root Corrupt SD card??

Yesterday my phone had turned itself off. It is rooted and had most of the apps linked with Link2SD to a partition on the 32GB SD card. Now when I try to open any of those apps it says they're no longer on the SD card, as though I had removed it.

I can see all the other files viewing the card on the PC so the problem only seems to be on the partition and I presume formatting the card won't remove the Ext 2 partition, although I'm trying it in which case I could partition it again, or I could use a new card.

But when I look at My Apps on the Play Store they still show as installed even though I have uninstalled several of them. So does anyone know what might have gone wrong and how I can reinstall my apps please?

Try the following:
press menu > more > link dalvik-cache files. Should take a while. When it's done, wait a minute. Reboot. (will take a long time as the .dex files link up again)
Do the same again, open Link2SD, menu > more > link dalvik-cache files. Reboot.
Keep doing this until all of them are linked, or until it says 0.00B linked. Then press menu > more > Relink all Application files, then press Clean up the Second Partition. Then Reboot.

Try the following:
Thank you for that. I presume you find the menu when you boot using volume down and power.

I'm not sure your advice will work now as I have already formatted my card and wiped the partition. I've also uninstalled some of my apps and can't install them as the Play store thinks they're still installed.

I dont know what's going on. After formatting my card and copying the files back onto it I tried to restore using CWM Recovery. But it said it couldn't find the partition. Then I discovered that the phone couldn't see the card.

I have a brand new spare 32GB card so I partitioned that but unfortunately I forgot to set it as primary so Recovery still couldn't find it so I was about to put that right when I saw that the phone again said there was no SD card installed.

So it looks as though my phone may be corrupting the cards, although I can view them properly on the PC and they check out with no errors. I also have a spa 8 GB card which the phone can see and am currently restoring th files. But I'm a bit reluctant to carry on and use it in case the same thing happens.

Any ideas please?

Edited to add update:

Okay, now i've done a factory reset and now I have been able to reiinstall my apps. I have used my 8GB SD card with a partition and all seems well.

But I'm left with 2 32GB cards that I can't use in the phone unless someone knows how i can make the phone recognise them again, but apparently I could use them in other devices, with an adaptor if necessary.

Also I wish I knew why my card have corrupted like this so it doesn't happen again.

Wildfire S is unfortunately a little bit choosey when it comes to SD cards. Some people have had problems when buying new SD cards...

Ok thanks. My Lexor high speed 32GB worked fine for about 6 months until whatever happened on Friday, and the Samsung one I tried yesterday only worked for a f minutes. Anyway I think I can manage with 8GB for now, particularly as I was given an iPad for Fathers' day so don't use the phone as much for music and video.

I've got one of my cards working again. I loaded it into Minitool Partition Manager and formatted the card. I then converted it to NTFS then back to Fat32 and the phone then recognised it again.

I then unlinked all the apps from my 8GB card then put the 32GB card back in and linked them to it.

Now all is working properly again.
