I must agree! I was like WTF?!? why isn't my phone detecting USB and then I turned it on and it works fine.

I loved CM9 and would be very happy to stay on it but not being able to get Google Voicemails was going to be a huge issue. Sense seems SO overdone and clunkynow after how straightforward and smooth ASOP felt. Hadn't noticed it in Sense till I was off of it a few days. If call forwarding gets fixed I am back there in a heartbeat (or if anyone comes up with a workaround :^)).
 
Any recommendations for a non sense based rom that is working at least at the cm9 level? I need one that I can get call forwarding to work so my calls and voice mail go to Google voice.

No kidding I had flashed that nandroid and didn't get any calls meant for him, thought it was a wimax issue, but don't know for sure, can a nandroid really do that to another phone???

Edit: read further back, I see what happened...
 
I got text messages to call some weird number when I got a voicemail on cm9, and also needed mms, so I'm waiting for a bit to go back, man I was taken back to the old opv days for a minute tho lol

some phones flash roms that way..strictly nandroids. I myself have even posted nandroids for ppl to flash when I was working on cm9 for the prevail. biggest issue ppl had was md5 mismatch which can be easily worked through..never heard of something like that happening unless you forgot to factory reset before making the nandroid and uploading it for others
 
Voice mail does work. There was something keeping voice mails over Google voice from coming through and that is my main phone line.
 
so what your saying is that i'm able to flash this because i flashed my the eng hboot? and that if i download the latest version of the rom it wont boot?
 
im pretty sure i read you will need to update hboot to run the newest viper..only because it was based off current sprint firmware
 
I can't budge over 1.18 GHz on AOKP. I'm assuming it's the kernel. Could I flash a different kernel with it?
 
Will I have to register on the anthrax forum, wait for approval...yada yada? Is there a mirror somewhere?

The one here says it's overclockable to 1.5 GHz. I was running 1.7 previously.

And is there no way to mount storage with AOKP?

nope its broken..only from recov..you have to register..i dont think they want mirrors being posted..only if its included in a rom and the dev got permission..just go ahead and register takes like 10 mins bro

Get elixr widget, it has a widget for USB mounting.

Or connect your phone to the PC and have it off for a bit and when you turn it on, the screen should pop up.
