Root overclocked scores not as good? PLEASE READ!!!please comment!!

so on quad n antutu my cpu n gpu scores r lower at 900mhz then 800mhz strange but true. any ideas to y. my point is [a] does the overclock work y is my scores better at 800mhz and [c] .the reason ppl overclock is for better performance. id like to get the best out of my phone and work with what i have. im poor but proud

iv used monster 4 , 5.2, 5.3,admired legend and a couple others i thought there was only 1 oc kernel for these roms if im wrong i would love a list of dif kernels my cpu score is between 287 to 292 at 900mhz n 300 to 315 at 800 mhz 3d is 660 to 670 at 900 n 688 to 693 iv done many tests any help would be great thanks

Does scores matter....lol as long as your device is running fine & theres no problems you should be good :)
Just my opinion

I agree, its not like we are running a Nexus or Evo or something with a dual or quad-core processor. Only 100mhz isn't really enough to run any better programs or apps, just make the ones we have run smoother. Besides that, running that 100mhz faster tears up the battery and the extra heat could warp parts, melt glue, or any number of things. Probably won't, but you never know.

I'm perfectly content with 800mhz, but I guess some people prefer to see their apps load a fraction of a second faster, lol :)

I just want to see how close my device can get to high end devices... Not that close :(

Lets face reality here ... without tweaks and kernels the Samsung admire could never go against those high end devices ..but I feel how you feel though ,due to the fact that the admire is a low end android device you would want it to be close to a high end android device...so I understand how you feel .

thanks thats why i want to no about the oc kern 100 extra mhz isnt much but i dont no if it helps in any way at all thats why i want other ppl to check there phone and see if 900 is better then 800

Keep in mind that benchmarking applications are completely worthless. What matters is how the phone functions in real world situations.

As long as it's not laggy, what more can you ask for?

A single core phone at 800 is never going to compete with today's high end android phones with 2 cores at 1500.

And guess what? it doesn't have to! This is a phone! :)

Phones are... Cool. And i love technology, it makes me happy. So I'll try and make my admire as good as it can get

but isnt the whole point of a overclock for better performance and the phone will always be laggy with some apps i know that and the bench marks can tell the little differences we might not be able to and in my case 800mhz is better then 900mhz if its just me wich is doubtful thats one thing but my experince might help others i no no matter what its a low end phone i dont expect a lot of gain but i dont expect less performance ether

Its possible that you're phone can't handle the OC kernel as well as some and thus aren't getting the performance that others get. If you stick it on 900 and it runs better, faster than it did before, then YAY! If not, then the OC kernel isn't for you. I do share your feelings about having a low end phone and wanting to get the most out of it, but I wouldn't rely on inaccurate benchmarks to tell you its working better. :)

my scores at 800 stock++ are better then stock but at 900 doesnt help and might even hinder i wish someone would try to build another kernel messing with the uphold threshholds and downhold has givin me significant gains i dont no if that means anything just sayin
