So I have a rooted HTC evo 4g and I have been this whole week trying to flash this thing only to find out I need a certain donor phone?! But thats not my question, see I have a Blackberry Cs-2 (I think thats the version lol) and Im seeing all of these inconitos and rants so is it possible to flash it to boost without having to hook up the donor phone or is there a store I can go to or something cause these guide are NOT working for me lol THANKS!!

I've never flashed any phone to a different carrier, but I don't think a blackberry would work. It would make more sense to use an android.

When I had my phone flashed to Boost, I sent it to a company I found on the web. I went that route because I tried the self-flashing thing myself and it was a disaster; nothing worked.

So I found and researched a company online located in Florida. I sent my phone in and few days later, I received a perfectly working phone including working mms (which seems to be an issue with self-flashing). If you want more info about the company I used, you can pm me since I don't want to use this forum as an advertisement plug.

Also the donor phone used was an Incognito so ... my best guess is that only Incognitos or Rants can be used for Boost flashing.

Everything iv'ed read says to use the rant or incognito for the donor and that the account needs to be set up but..

DO NOT TURN THE PHONE ON, EVER, NOT EVEN ONCE

...there's something about turning the actual device on that links it to the boost network and will screw with your flash over
