Root [CDMA] Simple question...Going from ICS back to stock rooted...

How do I do this? I don't want to get back to stock UNrooted, just stock rooted (my intent is to do the wire trick).

Anyone have a step by step guide? I've tried simply installing the stock rom, but my phone boots to a blank screen.

My EVO is HTC unlocked, HBOOT 1.5, running MeanROM ICS 2.4, with 4EXT recovery.

Did you wipe cache, dalvik, and data before flashing the stock rooted ROM?

I did a full wipe and factory reset of the phone. Each time, it boots past the HTC white screen, then hangs on a blank screen with the capacitive buttons lit up.

suggests I need to lock my bootloader before flashing the stock rom. Do I need to do this?
