Root Screen Off/on shortcut on Lock Screen

what are you asking? for a shortcut to turn off the screen on the lock screen? not trying to sound rude but isn't that why we have a power button?

You're right, just that i'm looking for a shortcut there...in fact, why not the various hot/cold boot, recovery, etc. shortcuts on it....does it make any sense or not?
(maybe the power button will last longer before giving out,)

There are two that are pretty handy:

Lock Screen Widget - tap it and the screen shuts off and locks

...and No Lock - pretty handy if you have your phone sitting on the desk. It just keeps the screen from actually locking when you 'lock' the screen.

I try to follow common advice to avoid widgets at all costs to save resources, but heck-- many regular apps autorun 'without any way to disable that in their settings'....
