Help Restarted phone on accident and apps dont work

Well i accidentally restarted my phone and now every time i open an app it tells me this app has unexpecdidly stopped. Force close and try again. So i turned off my phone and turned it back on and noticed all my contacts were gone as well. Help please

Did you actually restart it or perhaps (factory) reset it.?

Just a quick question, did you try to pull the battery and then restart it?
