Think about that from a business perspective...would you want to buy something knowing something better is just around the corner? It's the nature of the game. Without the game technology would be stagnant, so love it or leave it.

They aren't going to release a LTE phone until 2011 so the rest of the phones they will release this year will be CDMA with 3G with a couple probably being world phones.

With the way we're going the Incred will come out half way through this year. People thought it would launch 5 months ago. So I may not be too far off. So the next big may launch early 2011, but why bother at that point with a non LTE flagship? I could be wrong, just with the way they drag it out.
 
Another lurker turned poster that just needs to vent, since friends/girlfriend don't understand...

ARGH. I've always hated the phones on Verizon. I'm 26 but in grad school and still on my parents family plan. If it were just up to me I'd have been on ATT with an iphone since day 1, but my parents pay for my plan on Verizon so I'm not switching, yet.

Just to reiterate for Verizon (not that they read this but God it feels good to get it out)...the ONLY reason I'm still on your network is because someone else is paying for it. I have a stupid old Blackberry and have been ready for my every2 for 6 months now. And I'm still holding out. And I'll hold out for the Incredible or whatever it is, since I've waited this long and I'm not going to compromise now. But I will never give you a cent of my money; when I'm off the family plan I'm getting as far away from your company as possible.

Screw this "Verizon doesn't owe us anything" attitude. They NEED us (customers). If you were straight with me and said "we don't have any phones coming out" I'd appreciate it. If you told us it was coming out in May I'd appreciate it. Yet you deny it, keep everyone in the dark and force us to speculate. THAT'S NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Frankly it wouldn't surprise me if Verizon themselves releases more rumors about the iphone and Incredible than any other source. What better way to keep customers than to make them think something great is coming and to switch now would be an epic fail?

Word of advice: customers retained due to corporate fraud have no loyalty to your shady business practices and disregard for our concerns and interests. I hope you become the new T-mobile. Or Worse.

Based on what we've seen of the 6300, it's nearly ready for market. Way too much time and R&D invested to pull this back and redesign it. Rest assured there are already LTE phones being designed at this point, they will be different phones, doesn't make sense to redesign the 6300 for this purpose.

If you're going to get the Droid I would say don't bother with the 309 out the door at a VZW store or the 199 online. Best Buy's got it for $99 out the door (in store). So that's where I'm at. Do I forego the wait and get it for $99 or just wait the extra possibly 6-8 weeks?

If your contract is up for renewal you can pick up the Droid for 69.99 at Amazon. For new customers is 29.99. I don't know how there return policy is for phones though.
 
Considering the data plan changes they want to do with LTE and the potential battery drain it could have on the phones I'll wait and see how things turn out but that's still a ways out so in the meantime I'll get a Incredible or Shadow.

Again, I have absolutely nothing to gain by lying to a bunch of strangers on the internet. Nor do I have anything to gain by spending an hour-plus recapping the events of yesterday. I'm here for the exact same reasons as the rest of you people. Some of you can choose to make this forum YOUR soap-opera, but it won't be mine. There are some really amazing people here - and some choads as well. Ultimately, we're responsible for our own actions. If my posts can benefit anyone, then that's great. And if someone else's posts can benefit me, then that's great too. But there's no sense to backstab and bicker in here any longer - I have co-workers for that! ;)

I've already stated previously on this thread they wouldn't redesign the Incred. I meant their next big flagship phone past incredible.

if they did that though, they would never make any money....for example: say verizon releases the Droid and they say "oh, but wait! theres going to be something better out in a couple of months" noone would have bought the Droid, which means verizon wouldnt have made any money off of it.

At first glance I don't think a lot of people will be. The fact that there's no true multitasking is kind of disappointing. I'm more interested in the fact that it'll have the Zune pass available with it, which is really great in my experience.

I don't know if you are looking at better quality than us, but you have any guesses as to what else is in that box in the first one? (I was thinking maybe a case or clip on middle left side) the other stuff I have no idea.

Also, good call not handing it out to everyone, but do you have any way of knowing this is from same/similar person as before? (You may also want to consider giving some info to a select few people woodraskum, wonderbread, nash, I'm forgetting some, who have proven very capable of the type of detective work to dig things up out of almost nothing. Like you seem to have once again!!)

Some of the people here believe you and some don't. Deal with it. Anonimac already asked that nobody reply to that picture and you ignored him. And now you continue to argue. DROP IT!
