Been lurking since page 16. I think I posted once, but now I have a question.

I NEED a smart phone. Today I got stranded in LA because I didn't have access to google maps and missed the bus that I needed. Can't have that happening anymore. Wish I could wait for the Incredible/N1, but looks like I can't bank on that.

I'm up for my NE2. This is what I WANT to do, will it work?

I want to go to BestBuy and get an Eris for free (with contract extension). Then, when VZW releases the Incredible go to a VZW store and use my NE2 to get the Incredible?

Would that work, or would extending my contract at BB mean I don't get my NE2 anymore?

It seems too good to be true that I could just get a practically free Eris for a month or two.

Backup plan is to go to the VZW store and get an Eris and return within 30 days.
Fast moving forum, not sure if anyone actually reads every post so... bump.

At first glance I don't think a lot of people will be. The fact that there's no true multitasking is kind of disappointing. I'm more interested in the fact that it'll have the Zune pass available with it, which is really great in my experience.

The features might be cool, but i was actually referring to the look of the UI. I think the Sense UI is much more attractive.

My Dare is still kicking, a few glitch things, probably from dropping it a few times, but it still works well. It still takes pretty good photos for a cell phone. My 9 month old daughter is getting this when I get the Incredible, so she won't be after my Incredible.

I've had the Dare since it came out and I love it but I want something with a few more bells and whistles. What I regret is that VZN never offered a Dare2. I think they missed the boat on that one.
The new Navigator really is not an upgrase, but a huge step backward.

Whatever you say, bunny.

No reason to respond Mman. They are gonna believe you or they won't.. we appreciate the effort here. (And hell man, if you actually made all that crap up, I'd have to give you a pat on the back for the best imagination I've heard in a long time. Certainly kept me entertained during the wait for this phone ;) .) Just ignore it.

Besides look at the stuff Oneniner just posted!! Looks like that call to Bellvue may have some relevance.

oneniner, if you want to share with me where you found these latest videos, I would love to be able to snoop around there (all while keeping your secret a secret, pm me if you want to, if you want to keep it to yourself that's cool with me too)......

Question though, was there any wording or anything linked with the videos other than Incredible or 6300, that might indicate a release name?

That won't work because even though you'd be getting the Eris at Best Buy they still would be extending your contract and that would then also make your NE2 void since you just extended your contract for another 2 years by buying the Eris at BB.

You could still get the Incredible when released but you would have to pay full retail for it, if you really need a phone that badly you could get the Eris and return it within 30 days if you don't like it and the Incredible comes out then but we really aren't exactly sure when it's coming out.

maybe im not that fast but i cannot tell what the hell the first video is can someone tell me plse?

Almost near the very end of the video is the clearest shot of what you will be looking for. On the left of the screen there is a laptop. Its the keys on the keyboard. I think its an IBM thinkpad. On the right upper corner there is something that I have yet to make out. Then on the lower right of the screen... There is a phone face out, but upside down. It appears to look like the incredible. Like I said though it is upside down. You would be hard pressed to notice it otherwise. The buttons also look like the Desire. So I am not going to say out right its there 6300.

i don't quite understand what I'm supposed to be seeing this this video.

Had to watch it a few times myself. First time around I thought that Doritos and a can of Pepsi were in the box based on the background noise, then it hit me.

I know it's hard to tell with the lighting, but the Incredible in the first video's trackpad looked very, very similar to Nash's rendering, did it not?

Some of the people here believe you and some don't. Deal with it. Anonimac already asked that nobody reply to that picture and you ignored him. And now you continue to argue. DROP IT!

And your post serves what purpose, to get the last word? If you don't like it, report it, and if the mods feel it's not appropriate, they will deal with it. No need to perpetuate the infighting around here by calling MM out again.

I guess the object in the lower right is the Incredible, but like you, im having a hard time seeing it. NKT did thank the guy who posted it, so ill take their word for it.

I don't know if you are looking at better quality than us, but you have any guesses as to what else is in that box in the first one? (I was thinking maybe a case or clip on middle left side) the other stuff I have no idea.

Also, good call not handing it out to everyone, but do you have any way of knowing this is from same/similar person as before? (You may also want to consider giving some info to a select few people woodraskum, wonderbread, nash, I'm forgetting some, who have proven very capable of the type of detective work to dig things up out of almost nothing. Like you seem to have once again!!)

Thanks again, good work! ;)

The original isn't any better, that's why I tried to stop it when i captured it. It looks to me like the bottom half of the Incredible with 2 stickers on it next to an IBM laptop. I really can't see anymore though, it's a pretty short clip. It's not the exact same person, but i think i found it from looking through all of their followers/followees. Only other interesting/info is that person tweets from "HTC Peep", an android twitter client. I didn't think it was ground breaking stuff, but another, new shot of the Incredible and it's kinda weird the same person was searching Bellevue Square Mall, in Bellevue, WA next to where MM is.

It'd have to be the all black desire I'd think. I see it now, but the phone looks way too dark to be the original desire, right?

The purpose of my post was to avoid getting the mods involved. Getting the last word had nothing to do with it, which is why i ignored his reply to my post where he calls me "bunny."

Well, I just called Sprint. It seems as though they have a family plan that would be cheaper for me and my family than what I have now, and all of us can have a smartphone to boot. The plan includes data charges. The also offered me 100 dollars per phone to port the numbers. That's 400.00! Too bad the EVO isn't out yet. I would like to try a sprint phone to check out the service in my area.

This is coming from a loyal VZ customer. Loyal, but disheartened.

And that's the world that Verizon continues to create with their draconian policies toward phone releases.

Damn, that's pretty awesome.....my only problem is I can't port my Verizon number over to Sprint, otherwise it would be a no brainer. That's really the biggest thing keeping me with Verizon right now, so I've started giving out my Google Voice number which is completely portable. I just wish we could port our current number to be our GV number. Hopefully someday.

And why can't you port your Verizon number? I'm pretty sure it is illegal for Verizon to tell you that you can't port a number just because they originally provided it.

That won't work because even though you'd be getting the Eris at Best Buy they still would be extending your contract and that would then also make your NE2 void since you just extended your contract for another 2 years by buying the Eris at BB.

Thanks, thats what I figured.

I'm probably gonna do that. If I think the Eris is too slow after three weeks or so I'll grab a Droid. If after a month of an Eris and a month of a Droid the Incredible isn't out I'll keep whatever one I like.
