Notice the difference in the bottom of the phone. Someone correct me if I am off-base!

If the new carrier that I try to switch to doesn't provide service in the area that you came from (I've switched states) they don't have to port your number over.

I'd rather not share, nothing personal. I did quite a bit of digging to come up with it. There's also not really anything else worth noting. The person made about 5 clips from that account yesterday at the same time, all were 2 seconds and worthless except for those 2. No mentions anywhere of HTC, Verizon, or the Incredible. We haven't had this account come up yet on the forum that I know of, like I said I just stumbled across it while looking at twitter followers/followees of the accounts we did know. Her only other posts on twitter are jibberish tests it looks like.

It's not the desire... In the vid (1) the buttons (or what appears to be) are above the trackpad. The desire they are on the same level.

No good- extending your contract means you cant upgrade, or get NE2, for another 20 months
 
I'm feeling the LG Dare love in the room! Glad I'm not the only one who is chomping at the bit to go from the Dare to the Incredible...

Although, I must say...my old LG 8100 was the REAL workhorse...nothing stopped that beast.

By the way...thanks for the new vids and info, everyone...as always, I leave for lunch and laundry, and come back to find more excitement (and more pages than I could possibly catch up on!)

And WELCOME BACK MONTANA MAN!
 
Well looks like I will be using my crapy work cell for the next few months just got finished porting over my motherinlaws number to what used to be my cell. At least I won't have to pay full price when this thing comes out yea...
 
So I don't know if you guys will think this means anything coming from me, but me source has told me that its heading for a May release. There wasn't a definite release date or anything of that sort, but if that is true then the only reason I can believe it was pushed so far was because of the fact that the displays on both, the N1 and the Incredible, were one in the same.

I'm trying to get more info out of them, but they seem resistant. My source comes from corporate in case you were wondering. I'm trying to get them to ask everyone they can. Hopefully, I can come back with better news but that's it for now.


Possible May release due to a possible problem with the displays. I'm hoping for better news later tonight, but it seems doubtful. :(

The MODS have already said that we need to be self policing. I think the point is that if you continue to acknowledge childish behavior the children will continue the nonsense. I know it is difficult, but if you feel you are being attacked you should report it to the MODS. Replying just escalates the situation. And for the record, I believe Mountain Man, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It just needs to be debated in the proper context. Attacking people will only make people more reluctant to post.
 
If any of you Dare owners are having trouble with your camera(mine stopped working after about 18 months) I took it in for a software upgrade and all is working now.

Now bring on the Incredible.

I'm not trying to be the annoying guy that says we've been over this already, but we have.

To the newer people:

Oneniner found the low light testing video he just reposted for us a few weeks ago I believe.

We went over it tirelessly and proved it was the incredible (not desire, capactive buttons, not the EVO, it has the trackpad)

Search in the thread for the convo its a ways back there if you want all the proof.

Unless you return that phone by the 30th day. If you do that & switch back to your old phone it's like the new contract did not happen. But if you wait until the 31st day you are SOL. That's what VZW customer service told me.

I called specifically about it b/c I was thinking of getting a Droid at Costco & their return policy just changed from 30 day to 90 days on hardware. I wanted to see how that would work with my VZW contract.

Oh & btw if you get the phone at Costco you won't use your NE2 credit & you pay sales tax on the wholesale price of 249 not the retail of 5 something. That plus the free accessories really having me leaning to getting the Droid from Costco even though I'm scared of Motorola products in general.

I want to wait for the Incredible but alas I think I want a smartphone NOW more.

You can only exchange a phone once, then its yours for the rest of your contract. Otherwise, you could constantly exchange phones and get a new one every month

It does, initially. But when it was first posted a few weeks ago, the brightness level was adjusted showing the stark difference between the two devices: there's an optical trackpad that you can't see at this lighting level
