Help Does anyone know how to remove the Virgin Mobile boot up animation?

I don't mind it but that horrid sound just tips me over the edge. Any help will be appreciated. I tried to look it up on various forums and most of them are for the Motorola Triumph. Thanks.

I know if you're rooted, root toolbox pro makes it real easy, you just need a boot animation zip. Outside of that, I have no idea.

System/customize/resources/bootanimation.zip and there should be a boot sound zip too

It works sometimes, other times it would sound off.

If you have your phone on silent or vibrate, it won't sound off.

So, just swap out those files with something different, compatible, and that's it? No need to be rooted?

It works sometimes, other times it would sound off.

you could also try android assistant, in the settings theres a silent start option, its free in market and has alot of features in one app ( cach cleaner, app2sd, file manager ,app killer etc )
