Root S-OFF Problem

flemolord

Newbie
I been attempting to get S-Off on my phone for awhile now and I keep having problems.

First its backups and everything but when the phone reboots it says:

No Device
Open device manager and check adb and/or fastboot drivers

No idea where to find those drivers I had download HTC Sync and it installed all drivers etc. And I used fastboot method to root my phone so I'm assuming those driver should have been installed also, so I'm confused...

wow, i just did s off like 5 min ago. Did you make sure USB debugging was checked under settings>developer options? I'm assuming you already have the drivers installed b/c you have achieved root, right?

when i was doing s off, my phone would not turn on after the wire trick and i had to do a battery pull.. then controlbear.exe resumed doing the wire trick again.. and i got s off. Now i'm stuck on the bootloader, but hopefully i can just reflash my boot.img

I believe HTC Sync needs to be removed, all you need is the htc diag drivers although im not 100% sure on this.

If you need more help check out their IRC channel under the support link, I got some good help from there. Good luck.

btw, if you are on a harmonia rom don't install juopunutbear hboot. it won't boot; you'll be stuck in the bootloader. (it doens't like stock based roms?) thanks to jmz for helping me on this!
