Root Rooted phone replacement?

Soooooooo, my phone pretty much died today, I couldn't turn it on or get it to charge, so I went ahead and ordered a replacement phone. My phone has been water damaged, I revived it myself, and then I rooted it about 4 months ago. Do you think VM will care? I've heard they don't really check the phone for rooted purposes...especially because mine can't even turn on. What do you guys think? Smart move? Yay or nay?

Well if it's dead not much you can to do unroot it at this point. I say send it maybe they can learn something from a better running OS, that is as long as it was an MTDEV Rom LOL :)

BUT hopefully all goes well, will update within the couple of days I receive it.
 
I just recently returned mine with just a failed GPS. It had MTDEV CM7 on it. I never heard anything from VM about it. I have read of lots of other people doing this as well with no problems. I wouldn't stress on it.

There must be a heapin' pile of trashed MTs somewhere! I'm guessing they'll either repair & refurb or toss them- either way, they'll either overwrite whatever is on the phone or send it to the recycle bin...
