How to download saved sms from sd back to phone?

Please excuse this novice, however I have never had to do this before. I had to replace my HTC Rezound and prior to switching my SD Card I saved all my SMS messages to it. Now on my new phone how do I go about accessing those saved SMS messages and downloading to my new phone?

Depends on what you saved it with. If you used the build in msg app, I see there is a restore function along with the save. I had used gosms when I switched from DROID X, and that has a save/restore function

Just like ssurfer said, if you used the stock/built-in msg app, hit the menu button inside the messaging app, select back up and you should see the option to restore messages. If you have a lot of messages (ex: file is over 1.5MB), it may take over 5 minutes to restore properly, so just leave your phone alone for a bit.
