Root One Click Root App....

i tried to root it with zroot.couldn't.tried universal androot.even link 2 sd tutorial using superuser,universal androot and terminal emunator..but failed.did partition in my sd card too..can u plz tell me the detail process how to do it...thanks..
the link u gave shows adb push sd card-------...don't know how to do it...plz explain...thanks

If you are talking rooting using zroot....that is so 8+ months ago.

Read the thread on the flashtool.

If you have any followup questions, please create a new thread describing where you are running into problems.
 
hi ,sorry for the silly question. New to Xperia, done rooting an flashing before on my other cells., such as samsung i7500 & Mot cliq xt.- GOt a new xperia running on 1.6 (used), updated thru pccompanion to 2.1. I need to root it tried the easy way, universal androot & z4root last night and in both cases in the middle of rooting it just sent me back to the main screen. Had to install the apps from my pc, since 2.1 from ATT will not let me install non mkt apps.

Any idea as to how I can work this out?

Again forgive my ignorance but I have read lots of post and have not been able to find anything related so far. thanks for the help

If you are already comfortable with flashing, I would suggest upgrading to 2.3.

The steps described in this thread are OLD and I doubt they still work.

There is a new app that flashes and roots.

Think I am going to type up a new step by step.

I think that scary alien organizing things might bring up a whole lot of questions....guess I will reflash today with screenshots.

never-mind i used SonyEricsson Xperia Flasher by Bin4ry & Androxyde

and it worked :)

now i just need to root my HTC Desire :confused:
