Lost Tablet

I could kick myself. I left my tab 2 10.1 in my shopping cart in the parking lot tonight.

Didn't discover it was missing until I got home 20 minutes later. Hopped in the car and drove back over there but it was nowhere to be found. Someone got a bonanza. Fortunately, it was passworded but I changed all of my passwords on all of my accounts when I got home, just in case.

Did you put your name and phone number on the lock screen? You can do that on the Security tab in settings. If an honest person found it you could get a call.
 
Wow, sorry to hear you lost it. Good luck on getting it back, but there is a chance if they have a way of contacting you.
 
Oh wow! Sorry that happened to you. As others have said, hopefully whoever found it would be honest enough to contact you.
This is why I stopped taking my 10" out the house cause it was way too easy to lay it down. Here's hoping you get yours back!!!
 
That sucks. I've had things stolen/lost too.

@Skyroket, wow that is a interesting app. Wouldn't that be funny to show up and ask for your tablet back. At the very least you can flatten their tires. :-)

your tab is probably went through some hacking or visited a few mobile repair stores already. Why didn't you take actions earlier?

If i were you.. first thing i would have done is to install those security application remotely and tried to get the location or send a few messages to it.. Then reset the password. Go out to that market(store) and request surveillance video.. Every store has at least 2-3 cameras around market and most of them usually record entrance and packing lots.

Lastly the most desperate attempt would call Samsung.. i'm sure they know how track your tab using mac address or something else..

Next time set up Samsung Dive and a few Security application from the market. I know google also has it's own way to track down your mobile devices without using any application.. it has to do something with corporate account not sure what exactly it is..

Only things I take from home is my phone " in my pocket" and my handgun "hidden under my shirt". Around my little crime infested cow town, every time your outside your home your in danger. :mad: Yeah the cops tell us if you have a problem just call 911 and get on your knee's and pray. Yeah call 911 and pray..GOOD LUCK.:rolleyes:
