Hi applepepper and welcome to Android Forums:)
I know you said you had tried revolutionary but did you achieve s-off:confused:
Take a look here at Android Forums - View Profile: Hadron updated guide: http://androidforums.com/desire-all...desire-revolutionary-updated.html#post4638612

Alot of information can be found here as well: http://androidforums.com/desire-all-things-root/503471-desire-all-things-root-guide.html#post3970776

Hi applepepper :)

As gbiggie says, that guide to using revolutionary should see you through. Unrevoked won't work on 2.3.3.

One cross-check: can you tell us what hboot version you have (and whether GSM or CDMA, i.e. do you have a SIM card)? To find this out, shut the phone down then boot it while pressing the "volume down" key down. You'll get a white screen with little androids at the bottom. Can you tell us what it says at the top of the screen? HBOOT version is the most critical information, as that determines compatibility with revolutionary.

If you have the official 2.3.3 I expect the answers are GSM and HBOOT 1.02, but it would be nice to be sure - sometimes people have phones where they've tried the official bootloader unlocking tool, in which case the normal rooting tools won't work. I think that if that had been done to your phone you wouldn't have 2.3.3, but it's best to check.
