Root Lost Backup! Want to go back to android 2.3.5!

Hi! This is Azhar. I've a rooted htc wildfire s with CWM installed. recently I've installed android 4.0.4. I had a backup but lost it during partition. tried different ways but failed. plz tell me how will I get back to my previous android version 2.3.5 without restoring backup! should I unroot? I'm new here. plz help me. no one is getting me on my phone!

I separated your question from the other thread since it really is a different problem. I agree with Senthamil that you need to flash the stock RUU.
