Battery Stats Problems (Ironass required)

Hi gents,

I'm currently on NeatromLite 1.2. All of a sudden my battery icon started flashing and will not stop. I installed JKAY 14.1 and sometimes the clock in the notification bar does not update!!

Also in the battery settings my graph continuously shows 0 seconds on battery even when this is not true..

I have wiped data, factory reset a number of times and installed different versions of Neat Rom and it's still happening

I've wiped dalvik and battery Stats a number of times... Can anyone help at all?

This has happened to me and originally, i thought it was software issue. In fact its the charging port on the phone, that gathers dust and other gremlins and causes it to "short". This only happens to me when i put it in my car charging dock.

Ironass told me it was this and he was right lol

Don't want to speak to soon but I think I've fixed it by ramming a toothbrush down there... Fingers crossed!!
 
Sorry to disappoint you two guys... but I cannot in all honesty lay claim to the toothbrush solution. That lies fairly and squarely with good old Hawker... our resident expert on toothbrushes, ramming and USB's.










(At least... I think it was the USB he meant when he said, "bottom"! :confused:)
 
Damn i thought it was fixed but it isn't... This problem is really bad..... I hope Hawker spots this and possibly chips in with some advice

There's a small mobile firm that will replace the full usb flex cable and connection for 20 quid!! I suppose that's better than waiting 3 weeks for 3 network to pull their finger out.. Plus the fact im rooted they will probably say they can't do it or that it's water damaged (which it isn't) *

I used to have this problem, but the toothbrush problem only solved it for a short time.

The problem went away when I upgraded my (Neat lite) ROM and/ or kernel. Not sure which one solved it, but thats how I got away from it.
 
So yeah took it down to my local friendly Computer exchange store... 30 minutes later problem solved.... 12 month warranty....

No amount of toothbrushes, USB's and ramming would have solved your problem it would seem.

I must say, that in the last 6 months or so, I've been plugging and unplugging my charger/USB cables very gingerly and with great care as my phone is now 15 months old and although it has a 2 year warranty and is showing no signs of wear and tear, I'm not taking any chances! ;)
 
Ha ha you don't know how many times my auto correct put an I in ramming......

Anyway I know what caused the problem I think... Late night toilet visit.... Charger cable stretching from the plug to the bed.... Big size 10s walking straight through it... Broken usb connection....

My next dragons den idea is glow in the dark phone chargers!

On the other hand, you're bound to get people who will say it keeps them awake... like the little fully charged beep.
