Help Just ordered LG motion 4g...Won't turn on ?? Help.

I ordered the LG motion 4g to replace my crappy kyocera domino. It has been charging for about 3 hours. When I press a button on it it doesn't do anything. Do I need to insert the included card into it somehow?

I can't figure out how to get this to work. Do I need it to charge for a few hours. None of the buttons will do anything. MetroPCS already switched the phone in my account. I can see it listed. However, I was unable to get the device to turn on.

What do I need to do here. There are no instructions about the included card whatsoever. Please help. Thanks.
 
You must have got this through the mail unactivated. There should be a space for that card inside of your phone near battery.

Yes you do need to insert the card it goes in just like an Sd card the slot is underneath the battery below the camera.also try unplugging it before turning it on.just hold the power button to turn it on
 
I'm still having trouble inserting this thing. I did get the phone to power on, but now it says "no sim card." Any help on how to get the sim card into the slot? thanks.
 
NVM I got it. I really think they should have included some instruction on how to do this. My old phone was the crappy kyocera domino and I have no idea what I'm doing. Hopefully I won't have any more issues.
 
Ok next problem...phone service not working. I am getting an error. How can I get the calls to work? Any advice?

The problem is that its not activated, but I am outside of the metro service area. I guess this means I need to manually update the PRL. Can this be done on this phone? Please help. Thanks.

I tried pressing *228 and it was unable to program the phone. Like I mentioned, my kyocera domino worked fine in the area that I am in right now. I believe it is in an extended coverage area. I don't mind getting 3g or 1X for right now. I just want to be able to place calls. Can I get any assistance on this? Thanks.
 
Krackhead, you need to activate your Sim card that is that card you placed under the battery.

Of course I now have the problem that my phone won't receive any data over 4G.
