Could Apple lawsuit stop the s3 from being released for MetroPCS

I don't see a mass exodus of customers from the big carriers just over a rather expensive phone. It is nice that Metro is eliminating one of the biggest areas of criticism but they still have to fix the others (speed and coverage) before they really start hitting the other carriers where it hurts.

Then again, I wouldn't have thought the Apple lawsuit outcome would trigger a sales rush for Samsung so I guess some crazy things do happen. Looks like Apple may have turned the S3 into even more of a big seller. :D

If you look far enough under the hood you'll find 6, or 9 or more storage partitions.

On my 16 GB One X (Evo), I have just over 2 for apps, just under 10 for the internal /sdcard (12 total for me) and the other 4 is for the bootloader, boot partition, recovery, radio firmware and then the Android/Linux /system and cache partitions, and so forth.

Very little is lost to formatting, and basically, the whole 16 GB can be accounted for.

You will want to get used to the concept of the internal and external sd cards as soon as you can if you haven

^ yep.

Plus I'm sure marketing ate some. What the system calls "16gb" and what marketing calls "16gb" are usually not the same thing. :D

We stopped speaking in powers of 2 long ago for hard disks, that's how it started.

1k is really 1024, 1gig is (1024) ^3 = 1,073,741,824, but marketing says 1gig is 1,000,000,000.

When you hit lots of GB, the difference adds up.

Here, it's not terrible.

metro has already stated that with the big push of all these 4g phones, that they are utilizing the full 10mhz data range.

Which is why everyone is having problems with their data recently. I assume metro is working on it. Let's hope

man on new york that 10 mhz more is making a huge difference ive seen some crazy ass speed test results 2wice as much as us in tampa florida

And that is why Apple does not want this type of war.

Apple can pull dozens of Samsung phones from the market and it'd be a hiccup for them. They release a new generation each year and upgrades and variations every few months. Samsung on the other hand only need to get one injunction to serious hurt Apple. Apple releases a new generation every two years, with a variation out during the off year. All Samsung has to do is target one single phone and Apple is in trouble.

Well as a former Metro customer I hope the SGSIII is a huge success for them. As for Apple suing? They are suing because Google and Android are kicking their a** and they have no new ideas, innovations or phones.

As it stands now Apple is so far behind the curve when it comes to Android, all they can do is sue just to keep what little they have of their ever shrinking market share. By the time they release their so-called cutting edge iCrap 5 it will be an outdated useless device except for the iSheep that will run out and buy it.

Trust me I was around when Jobs left and Apple went into the toilet, it's not going to take long for them to be swirling around the bowl again. Only this time they can't bring back their messiah Jobs to save them.
