Help Unlocked phone 3G problems.

Hi All
I recently bought a phone off Ebay which was unlocked. It used to be on the Vodaphone network and i need to be on the Orange network.
The problem is i put my Sim card in and it registers on the Orange - T-mobile network however i am iunable to get a H or G or 3G sysmbols up.
I have tried a factory reset messed on with all different settings all to no avail.
I even go Orange to send me a new sim card. Still the same.
Any 1 Have any suggestions
