What are you all up to this weekend ?

Have a birthday party to go to tonight and a dinner to go to tomorrow. Hoping Sunday I can totally relax since Hubby leaves again. I'm exhausted. Think I will take a nap when I get home today for sure !

Last weekend of freedom ? So the FBI finally caught up w/ you. :captain:

Kinda hard to elude those bugger's since they have all my details on file.

Nah - starting a new job on Tuesday (hopefully) after 8 months of being a lazy butt.

Gotta afford my gold badge somehow.

Maybe its just the way my mind works ... but if you can get the guts of an S3 into the size of an S3, then tablets should be WAY more powerful than they are.

I wouldnt bother buying a tablet thats SLOWER than my phone, to me thats just backwards and pointless.

Thing is, by the time you get upto the Asus infinity types, its cheaper to just buy a new laptop thats twice as powerful and has dedicated graphics, so to justify it (the Infinity) youd have to have a NEED for ultra portability of that tech.

Dont get me wrong, it packs a punch for the $ sure, its just slower than my phone so its not for me

First let me say, if you haven't used an N7, then what's your reference for calling it slower? Processor speed?? If so, then you are misguided.

Secondly, the N7 is a budget tablet for $199 at 8GB and $249 at 16GB. Your S3 is $599. Sure, you can go up in specs and get a tablet maxed out but you'll also max out that price. At that point, it's like you said, why not get a laptop?

The N7 is a budget tablet and doesn't just pack a punch for the $...it packs a punch period. To get any other tablet that would perform in the same neighborhood as it, you'd pay $400 easily.

It's not just the N7, granted spec for $ is great, but still, my point stands.

Looking at the improved galaxy tab 2 I was very disappointed with the spec, specially from Samsung. They should be kicking out much better stuff than a tight fisted 1.2 dual core tab. That's just an S2 with a bigger screen. (pretty much)

Na, miss X has her galaxy tab, and her S3, and her laptop, but she might lose her laptop to me and ill have two, due to the lazy moo never being bothered to turn it on. Then next year I'll use her laptop budget to boost mine and I'll get something way better than what I've got. Ha, suck eggs miss X! :D

So where does Asus fit in? They make it right?

Mr. X,

Thank you for contacting us here at Google about our ad. Yes, we do make the Asus, however that advertisement was about the N7 & the N7 only. Thank you for your question & feel free to visit our Facebook page or Google.com if you have any further questions.

Thanks again

Close the gate K Lin !! Somebody let a Bulldog ( Miss. St. ) in !!!

Are Bulldogs not welcome here?? :p

Eh, the point doesn't quite stand, but we'll agree to disagree, how about that.

The Galaxy Tab 2 sucked just as bad as the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus :P Those tablets performed way under their specs. It's all that bloat. I hated my GTab 7 plus. The Nexus 7 is in another world performance-wise.

I get no paycheck from Google sadly. I am a huge advocate for them...maybe I should.

Bulldogs are of course welcome, just don't drop any brown bombs in K Lin's yard during our pool parties. You can pee in the pool however, E Mon will be glad to jump in when you do.

I'm still waiting for my commision check from AF after getting these people to become Gold members :D

I was simply trying to understand why the N7 was so popular, now I have a better understanding. Maybe I could have worded things differently, but hey. It's still not for me. My line of thinking is just that with bigger devices they should have better spec on across the board than they currently do, especially as top end phones are largely faster than most tablets.

I'm all for learning and such, I wasn't 'dissing' the N7, it's just not for me, those who have one are probably more than pleased with it.
