Root How to test if you are S-OFF?

So yesterday I wiped everything but sdcard trying to flash the gpu and ext tweaks. It caused my phone to only boot to the HTC screen. I'm wondering: do I still have s off? I had to wipe everything again and the re flash my ROM (midnight). The day before I flashed the hboot, radio, and pri from the sticky thread "fix everything turn your phone into an evo 3D". I'm guessing I at least definitely need to flash those again.

if you boot into the bootloader (turn on phone while holding volume down) it will say S-OFF near the top of the screen if you have it

No you will not need to reflash them.

So they stay on permanently? Because I had to totally wipe my phone then reflash the midnight ROM.

Anything flahed to the hboot will stay there (radios and other hboots) and even factory resets can't undo what you flash to the hboot
