What ever happened with the news of N1 or Incredibles being shipped to distribution centers or something? I can't recall, but it seemed like a month or so ago when we heard some news...

Yeah that was like 2-3 weeks ago.. It was first rumored as the N1, then people thought possibly the incredible. It was from a source in China or Taiwan or something. I think when nothing really showed up, people dismissed it, but we don't know... Maybe stuff was shipped and delivered and they are just keeping it under wraps. I would think if the incredible (or N1 for that matter) was going to be released in 2-3 weeks these phones would need to be showing up on American soil sometime soon, if not already. Maybe they are sitting in big containers like the ones in the Transporter :D

I guess since the N1 and Incredible are technically competitors, Verizon would be smart to announce its phone when the N1 is release/announced. I can dream...

competitors, but a win/win for VZW.. Either way they get the contract and with the incredible they get to push a sweet @ss phone that everyone will want!

Who prints the packaging for these phones.
My wife works in the printing industry and there are usually months between the time a package is printed and when it is released.

Just a thought that someone out there knows details.
Details that have to be set in stone before a product is packaged.

Exactly. I'm thinkin we need some screen shots! There's gotta be some inventory somewhere...

This may be bordering on OT, so PM me if you can help......

Anyone know of an app or a setting that will display incoming caller id in LARGE FONT SIZE?
I wear reading glasses, and nothing frustrates me more than not being able to read the incoming call detail on my crappy razr without jamming teh glasses on. From what I've read, and seen when ripping through the settings on the Droid and Eris, there does not appear to be an Android display setting for this. Anyone??

Haha conversation with the girlfriend this morning about the N1 (like she cares)...
me:man oh man, google phone is coming to verizon maybe this week
i need a new phone
Girlfriend: you've been saying that for like a year now

Sad but so true. Need to ditch this LG Dare and move on to some Verizon Android action pronto.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been standing in the shadows for about a month now and have thoroughly enjoyed following this thread.

I've felt all the highs and lows. I've been there with you all for the ups and downs. I followed the arguments, fights and name calling.

Through it all one thing keeps going through my mind. I think when they finally announce this phone they should use the following catchphrase...

... it's not just a phone, it's an addiction.

And this is where the addiction starts.

Thanks everyone for all the great information. I'm really looking forward to finally getting this thing in my hands.

Wow, I really haven't been paying much attention to my current phone.

OT, but in a last ditch effort to keep me a Blackberry fan, my Tour 9630 will be receiving the 5.0 OS update today. I fear it is too late RIM... I am in love with another.:D

Here's a thought going to play Devils advocate here. I hope this does not happen but with the BOGO deal ending 3-31, wouldn't it be wise for VZW to wait until 31 days after this date to release the Incredible?

From what I understand:

If you return the phones, you will have to pay the restocking fee on both phones. You'll only get the money for the phone you paid for, and if you only return one, they treat it as the free one. So if you return 1, you pay $35 and get nothing back. If you return 2, you get the money you paid for 1 phone and have to pay $70 for restocking...THEN you have to pay for 2 new phones because you have 2 lines active unless you pay the early term fee.

I don't know if I'd say that. They both will come with 2 year contracts making verizon happy, they both are made by htc, and they both have google's android. Google even links to the droid on their N1 site in case you can't wait for a new phone.

good call!

Just looked over the fine print of the BOGO deal, and I think it'd be entirely possible to return say, a Moto Droid, and pick up an Incredible. All it says in regards to returns is that it comes with the usual 30-day "Worry Free Guarantee."

Under said return plan, the person returning the phone gets cash back (minus a restocking fee). Since you get cash instead of a store credit or something like that, there's nothing stopping you from taking that cash and buying an Incredible with it.

The HTC Addiction - done deal, that's the name I'm betting on! :D
