Polaris Office anyone using it?

I use Polaris ocasionally and it's not all that bad. It will never replace Office on my laptop but for occasional stuff it does a neat job.

Can u tell me how to deletions Polaris. This app's a pain.

Go to your settings find the Application Manager then find All it's on right side of Running. Find Polaria Ofice and set it as disabled it can't be removed but disabling it is all that is needed.

After comparing Android Office apps awhile back, Polaris was the only one that would let me insert a single cell in my excel docs. I use Polaris and DropBox for work related spreadsheets and this feature does come in handy for me. Does any of the newer Office apps allow that?

My only complaint with Polaris is that if my spreadsheet had rows/columns frozen prior to uploading to DropBox, there isn't a way to turn off "freeze" inside Polaris.

I do not use any office on my Tab, much too restricted for me.
But in Polaris office if you select the "browser" you have the nearest thing to "explorer" on a pc that I have found.
You can, view files, move them to and from folders or an SD card if you have one and delete or copy files as well. Great app and so easy to use if only for this.

I started using Documents To Go on my Palm Pilot years ago and I have stuck with it. It is hard to create any document on a small device like the Palm or the GT2 but I do download documents from home and work that I need to have available and they open just fine. I have never used another program so I can't make any comparisons.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on when Polaris refuses to save a modified .xls file and acquires a .xls.qbk file?

It's been a few months since I've used Polaris but I didn't run into that problem. Actually, I saved an Open Office spreadsheet (.ods) as an older version of .xls and then used it with Polaris. So, maybe your version of .xls is too new(?), try it as older version .xls?
