Help Video Wiz doesn't works

Mitch2012

Newbie
Has anyone been able to use this app? Everytime I try to add a video or image it stops with a message "Unfortunately Video Wiz has Stopped". i googled it and cannot find anything. Is not on the Play store either.

Could it be it is linked to IM and Social. I uninstalled IM and Social since I only use Facebook.

i just did a quick test of it by adding a pic,the dice option and a song and it worked fine.i also uninstalled im and social so i dont think that is your problem.maybe you uninstalled a different app that it needs.

Besides that IM and Social the other applications I have uninstalled are:
Pocket Express
LG Smart World
MyExtras
Metro Studio

they wouldnt be your problem since i have all of them uninstalled as well.did you disable any apps?if you did maybe unfreeze them and see if the video wiz app start working.

Where would I find the disabled apps?

if you didnt disable them yourself you dont have any.i was just trying to think what your problem might be.

you could try doing a factory reset to see if that fixes it but if i was you i would wait and see if anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it.

Ok, one important fact in troubleshoot this is that I can navigate thru the app, browse music and browse styles. Its only when I go to add image/video that the crash happens. I'm guessing there might be a picture format or a video codec in my sd card, which has media files from my old phone, a Samsung Code, that the software maybe doesn't likes.

that might be it but i would think that would only effect old videos and pics(if it would even affect them) not new ones you did with the motion but i could be wrong.

have you tried just taking a screencap with quickmemo and seeing if that works with video wiz.

Whenever I would click an old video or pic it would either work or say not supported but it never crashed once

Yes, its not the video in the SD card. I removed the SD card and tried the app and it still crashes. Cannot reinstall the app as it is not listed anywhere and is not in the Play store either. Wonder if Metro will help with this problem.

Hi Mitch,

Did you format your SD card before putting it into your Motion? Perhaps some remnants from your old system interacted with your Motion's OS and are affecting it even when you remove your card. Just a guess, I'm not an expert.

Also, if you uninstall that app, you can re-install it from the applications manger once you do your re-set or format the card. I would format the card first.

It doesn't gives me an option to uninstall since it doesn't appears on Applications Manager, I can only see it on Settings, under Apps. It only has options to Force Stop and Disable.
