So I talked again with my contact that is with the marketing department at VZW. She told me that they are currently getting ready to shoot a commercial for the Incredible. Not sure how far along they are but she said it is usually a week after the commercial is done when they start airing it. She also mentioned that she doesn't know anything about a name change yet as far as she knows it is still known as the Incredible. I know this is vague but this is all I have right now. I am still trying to find out more.

I will let all of you INCREDIBLE people know when I have more.:)

man, idk what to do my billing period for AT&T end on april 3, i really just want to get over to verizon..but i dont want to get screwed over and have to stay with a droid if the Incredible isn't announced within the 30 days...i just dont know what to do what do yall think??

and 1 more question if i return the droid how does it work do you just exchange the droid for the incredible and pay the difference for the incredible or what??

Just stay with ATT for another month.

Verizon takes back the Droid, credits you the price you paid for it, charge a restocking fee (if you're returning a non-defective phone), and you purchase your new phone.

alright I will probably won't hurt to wait the extra two weeks anyway...but, i really wish this phone would've came out earlier so i could of get rid of my iPhone that thing is a joke you can't do anything cool on it unless you jailbreak it then it plays the lets run into a wall and crash game all the time.
 
phew, 56 pages and I'm finally caught up again. I've been phone stalking for waaay to long now. Like Nash, I was around in the original Passion thread, hoping for a Black Friday release. Epic fail.

Anywho, just wanna throw a thanks out to all the mods/admins/Anonimac for all the hard work you're doing. Also, a thanks to all our sleuths. Keep up the good work, and happy hunting.

Why must there always be atleast one person that feels the need to accuse someone of lying? What difference does that make for you whether hes a liar or not? Do you feel more of a man when you call someone out? This is the type of attitude that just discourages anyone from even wanting to try and help (see: Montana) - and sure as hell doesn't make that person feel any better when they're taking the time to post something informative for us just to have people jump down their throat. If you don't believe it, then fine, move on, but don't attack another member for their efforts (regardless of whether you believe them or not).

I hope that u don't find this insulting, but logic says that you would push more people away from this site if people were allowed to continuously post fabricated stories. The reason I have been viewing this site was due to the nuggets of information I would gather from the Droid and Eris forums and now the Incredible forum (been about 5-mos, only my third post). When someone post something that is definitely a lie why not admonish them to prevent others from doing likewise...Otherwise you would end up with a site full of things like this...

"I held the Incredible today, it actually has a hologram projector for playing movies off the 5 SD slots or the 160gb hard drive (confirmed, my friend who works for Southwest Airlines, that has a cousin in Nova Scotia, that has a friend, who has a sister that is married to Verizon Sales Rep told me so)"

Just my $.02 - Not saying we should call every statement a lie - but if its obvious (yes, somethings r Obvious) I think they should be called out to protect the integrity of the site. (there is a reason other sites refer back to Android Forums)

Handsets shipped by HTC (High Tech Computer) may hit a new high of 4.5 million units in the second quarter of 2010 compared to 3.3-3.5 million projected for the first quarter, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Shipments of new models, including Android-based HTC Desire, HTC Legend and HTC Incredible (for Verizon Wireless) and Windows Mobile-based HTC HD mini, will help drive shipment growth in the second quarter, the paper said.
The HTC Desire, Incredible and HD mini are all built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform, the paper added.

Digitimes also reported that HTC was shipping CDMA N1s to Verizon, so I'm not sure how much you actually want to read into this report (out of China).
 
Didn't we hear somewhere that 70k units were ordered up for VZW in initially? If so, 70k out of 3-3.5 mil for Q1 isn't much.

I don't know how fast shipping works for large quantity stuff like this, but if a phone release was coming up (1-3 weeks) wouldn't they have to be here already or at least en-route?
 
Maybe we will get some positive news today. I suspect if the hands on trainings are taking place now, something will show up on Engadget, BGR, or Gizmodo very soon. Possibly today.:D

That was my thought as well. IF employee training is starting this week, I expect "official" leaks quite quickly thereafter, as in the same day.
 
Longtime Lurker, First Time Poster.

All the talk yesterday about the phone being spotted in the store got me excited. I figured I would do my part and head over to my local Verizon Wireless store (at NorthPoint Mall in Alpharetta GA), and see what they have to say over there.

There must have been 8 people standing behind the desk there, and I casually ask if they know anything about any new devices coming out. They all sort of look at each other and then look at me and very convincingly tell me they don't know anything.

I try hard not to be that dork walking in "Um, well, I have been reading in the forums and chat rooms that the mega-tron 5000 is being shipped today." but I did still mention that there had been rumors that some stores had actually gotten shipments already or devices might be showing up. Then (this was my favorite part) .. some jerk behind the desk there sort of looks down his nose at me and with a very condescending tone says "I don't really follow this stuff that close." I can tell he'll go far with his chosen career.

Anyway, at my store there is no sign of a new HTC device as of yesterday evening. I have another store near my office in Midtown Atlanta. I'll swing by there at lunch. They're a much friendlier bunch than the snobs in Alpharetta.

I hope they announce it soon... :confused:

I am giving up and getting the Eris if we don't hear anything by Thursday. Hopefully it will come out within 30 days so I can return it for the Incredible. Now, if I return the Eris to get the Incredible will I have to buy it at full retail or would I get it at the new contract price? Would I lose the NE2 credit since I used it on the Eris? Sorry if you've answered this 500+ times, but I have seen vague "return it, pay $35 restocking fee, get the Incredible" answers, but not those specifics.

Also, why is everybody all of a sudden on probation?

Dunwoody here! Anyways, has anyone checked the Lenox store? I was told that they are the main ATL location.
